AVS MEMO January 1st, 2011

Due to the recent disappearance of personal equipment from the balcony I have decided to ask all volunteers and staff to please take notice of the following change.
New locks have been purchased to supplement the existing and everything should now be locked or tied down. Previous to this incident, just before Christmas, it was my belief that most people did not know what was up in the balcony and there was little risk at leaving things open. Events have caused me to change my mind.
Procedures specific to the new locks will change as I am able to modify the desk in the balcony, but for now the keys are in a “hiding place” that only the active volunteers and Rev. Jim should know about.
-
All loose microphones, including wireless lapel mics, should be collected at the end of the last service of the day and placed in the #1 file cabinet.
-
Any computers should be kept locked inside a cabinet, but if a computer is to be left out without anyone around it, a computer lock should be used.
-
The LCD projector should be kept locked to the shelf in fellowship hall. Long term storage, if Saturday worship takes a week off, should be in the balcony, in a cabinet.
-
Any spare equipment should be locked up in one of the cabinets.
It is very important that we try to keep these thoughts in mind from now on. I do not want to loose any more equipment. Please keep your personal belongings in mind when out of the balcony and use the cabinets for your storage as well.
Thank you all for your cooperation.
Can’t wait to see everyone in the New Year!
- Mark
